Biography

　　Mr. Yang Hongbo, male, Han Nationality, was born at Linshui County, Sichuan in August, 1960. He started his career in July, 1982 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in August, 1988. He graduated from Urban Planning Major, Architecture Department, Tongji University as a bachelor, and from Urban Planning Major of the University of Wales as a mater. Mr. Yang is a registered architect and national registered urban planner. He is also an expert received special allowance from the State Council.

　　Mr. Yang now serves as Vice Governor of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, and Member of the Party Leading Group of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government.

　　Mr. Yang isa deputy to the 18th CPC National Congress, a member of the 11th National People’s Congress, a member of 10th and 11th CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and  a deputy to the 12th and 13th Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress.


　　Responsibilities

　　Responsible for governing affairs associated to environmental protection, housing construction in urban andrural areas, and transportation (including highways, waterways, postal services, railways and aviation).

　　He directs the Department of Ecology and Environment of Sichuan Province (including Nuclear Safety Administration of Sichuan Province), Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation, Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission (specifically the affairs related to transportation), etc.

　　He is in liaison with the Sichuan Provincial Administration of Postal Services, Southwest Regional Administration of Civil Aviation, Supervision and Regulatory Bureau for Chengdu Railway, Southwest Inspection Bureau of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd., etc.
